A convicted sex offender in Miami allegedly set fire to a home because the occupants are lesbians. According to police, 73-year-old Braulio Valenzuela-Villanueva walked onto the property belonging to his neighbors in the early morning hours.
He then ignited a mattress which had been leaning up against the mobile home. Inside the trailer were the two lesbian women and 8 children.
The women and kids managed to safely escape. While everyone else seemed to be frantic, Valenzuela-Villanueva remained outside his own home, watching the fire casually.
Cops soon deemed him a suspect when a neighbor’s security camera captured him lighting the mattress. During questioning, Valenzuela-Villanueva denied having anything to do with the crime.
However, the police report did note ‘He stated that he despised the two adult victims for the simple fact that they were lesbians. According to the defendant, every time he saw them kissing he felt a deep repugnance and in his opinion they did not deserve to have children.’
Valenzuela-Villanueva has been charged with ‘one count of first-degree arson’ and ‘10 counts of attempted second-degree murder.’
