A 31-year-old woman in Berkeley is very lucky to have survived after she was struck by lightning during a severe storm.

A 31-year-old woman in Berkeley is very lucky after she was struck by lightning during a severe storm. Emily Davis had been crossing the road at about 1 in the afternoon when she was struck.

Realization hit her that she had been struck by lighting.

Aside from the shock however, Davis was uninjured. When she contacted her father to share the story, Davis was informed lightning has proven to be fatal in her family.

Her great great great grandfather died after he was struck by lightning while mounted on a horse. Said Davis ‘I could have been burned, or my heart could have stopped. I’m feeling so lucky.’
