It’s impossible to know what goes through the minds of some drivers. Such was the case for a male motorist in Florida who led police on a chase through two counties and then stopped at a toll plaza.

The very bizarre ordeal started in Sanford, after a police officer tried to pull the driver of the blue Ford Mustang over for a simple traffic violation. The driver didn’t stop. Instead the car cruised down street after street, making it clear the motorist had no intention of pulling over.

The cops did their best to keep up with the Mustang so imagine their shock when the driver was spotted stopping at a toll booth before fleeing yet again. It’s not known for sure if the man paid the toll, but thus far in the investigation, police believe he did.

Eventually the officers used Stop Sticks to piece the tires of the Mustang.

The unidentified operator has been charged with ‘fleeing and eluding law enforcement.’ He may face additional charges once the investigation is wrapped up.
