You would have to be crazy not to be excited about the next Transformers movie. Sure, the last ones were a bit, um, uneven, to say the least -- but there is no denying the spectacle is worth the $20 IMAX ticket price. Michael Bay has also decided to leave Shia LaBeouf on the sidelines with his paper bag on his ridiculously self-loathing head, and drop in the dose of manhood these movies need, with none other than Mark Wahlberg showing up. We don't know too much about the story yet, but it seems pretty clear from early trailers that our robot heroes are no longer welcome on Earth. That is, of course, until a greater threat returns and the puny Earthlings need the help of the noble Autobots to drop-kick the baddies back into the space junkyard. This will be one of the biggest hits of the year, and I think Michael Bay has managed to bring some much-needed seriousness into a franchise that was getting a bit too comical at times. How did we arrive at such a conclusion? Simple:
Blockbuster Formula:
(Mega-Star Male Lead) + (Token Hot Model/Actress)
+
(Teasing, and Not Revealing Too Much)
-
(Annoying Shia LaBeouf + Annoying Megan Fox)
