I know a few people who did not like Rise of the Planet of the Apes but I tell them all they are crazy. The effects in that film were a new level of quality, and the performance by Andy Serkis managed to evoke an emotional connection with Caesar, the destined ruler of the new earth. This sequel has only given us a couple of quick teasers, but in a summer filled with the usual superheroes and monsters, it already feels like there's something special about the story they're telling with these films, and the cast of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes seems poised to add even more gravitas to the epic feeling this film seems to be carrying. All the elements are present for a hit, so let's just make sure the math works:
