Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat -ul-Ebad Khan Visited Mazar-i-Quaid on Pakistan Day.

Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul- Ebad Khan visited the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the Founder of the nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

They laid floral wreath at the grave of Quaid-i-Azam and offered Fateha. Provincial ministers and members of the provincial assembly were also present.

The governor also inaugurated a tree plantation campaign in the compound of Mazar-i-Quaid.
Later, the governor along with the chief minister inaugurated a project for the revival of Empress Market and its surrounding areas in their original shape.

Senior Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, MPAs Rauf Siddiqui, Owais Muzaffar, Sharmila Faruqui, Acting IGP Iqbal Mehmood, Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui, Deputy Commissioner South Mustafa Jamal Qazi and other officials were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the governor said that all the resources have been provided for the timely completion of this project.

He said Saddar area where Empress Market and other business centres are located is the heart of the metropolis. He lamented that this area was neglected in the past and it is in a bad shape now a days.

Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said that in the first stage of this project, every kind of encroachment would be removed from the area.

The governor said that the project is prepared after consultation with all stakeholders, and after its completion not only the residents and businessmen of Saddar will be benefitted, but the buyers will also enjoy a better environment. He said that Rs 61 million have been released initially for the scheme.
