The search for the missing plane has drawn attention to the economic relationship between China and Malaysia. Most of the 239 people on board were Chinese nationals, and their families have strongly criticised the way Malaysia handled the situation. Many in China are already calling for a boycott of all things Malaysian. Chinese tourists are the third largest group of visitors to Malaysia, and it is expected to drop by 40%.
