Turkey has shot down a Syrian war plane near its southern border.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Syria of ignoring warnings and violating Turkish air space.
Syria said its jet was pursuing rebels inside Syrian territory and described the shooting as blatant aggression.
