The funeral of Super Junior's Leeteuk's (이특) father and grandparents was held at the Korea University Guro Hospital in Seoul on January 8 after they died in their home two days ago.
According to initial reports, Leeteuk's 57-year-old father suffered from depression and took care of his ailing grandparents. It is suspected that the k-pop star's father borrowed a large sum of money that he couldn't pay back, so he allegedly murdered the two grandparents before committing suicide.
The bodies of the 84-year-old grandfather and 79-year-old grandmother were found in bed at a residence at Sindaebang-dong in the Dongjak-gu district the morning of January 6. Leeteuk's father was found dead in his room of an apparent suicide by hanging.
All the members of Super Junior, except for Ye Sung who was unable to attend the ceremony due to his military service, are with LeeTeuk.
Leeteuk, who is now doing his compulsory military service, was in tears at the funeral. His musical actress sister Park In Young was also at the wake.
Following the funeral, Leeteuk will spend a few days with his family before heading back to the army on January 11.
