Maulana Muhammad Ishaq r.a recommended to read Translation of Quran (Koran) written by Maulana Fateh Muhammad Jalandhari r.a for a common Muslim. It is a best translation even praised by Maulana Maududi r.a that he also mentioned in the forward of his Tafsir Tafheel ul Quran.
Maulana Muhammad Ishaq r.a also mentioned and suggested to read the Tafsir Maariful Quran given by Maulana Muhammad Shafi Usmani r.a . It is again a best effort and easy to understand for a common Muslim to get benefit out of it.
Although every translation and Tafsir may have some deficiencies as we are human not God.

Maulana also appreciated other Tafasir like Tafsir e Usmani written by Maulana Shabbir Ahmed Usmani r.a and Tafhimul Quran by Maulana Maududi r.a in different occasion.
