Police in Redding, California, are still on the search for an overweight would-be burglar attempted to break into Kent's Meats and Groceries in the early hours of March 5, 2013.
Surveillance video taken from the store clearly shows the hefty crook approaching the storefront with intent. Wearing baggy black pants with white splotches, reminiscent of those worn by 1980s rap star M.C. Hammer, and black V-neck t-shirt tucked into the elastic waist, with a pair of black pantyhose on his head, the unidentified criminal peers into glass front and inspects the space. Then he walks off, then returns, pulling the nylons down over his face, letting the limp legs hang freely.
He winds up and launches a rock into the window. The glass spiders, but doesn't break through; however, the intrusion triggers the security alarm which sends the corpulent man fleeing, tripping twice on his way.
The suspect has yet to be identified, though police reported him to be white, about 350 pounds and roughly 5'11".
