Police shooting: Air Force Airman 1st Class Michael Davidson shot by Alabama police following car accident.

Shoot first, ask questions later: this appears how many cops are going about their jobs these days. Air Force Airman 1st Class Michael Davidson, 20, is their latest victim. The junior airman was shot in the stomach during following a traffic accident. This following his version of events:

Davidson was driving back to his air force base in North Carolina when he clipped an 18-wheeler while changing lanes.
The two drivers pulled over to exchange insurance details and police were on the scene instantly — but Davidson was unaware until he saw the lights while walking back to his car. He turned around and raised his arms.

At that moment Officer Phillip Hancock shot him, the bullet severing an artery in his stomach. Davidson didn't know what had hit him. What's more, he says police searched his car while he lay on the ground bleeding.

Recovering in hospital from major life-saving surgery Davidson says he has no idea why he was shot as he was only holding his wallet. Many questions about that what exactly happened that night remain unanswered and Davidson's father says he's getting little help from the State or police.
