Federal authorities have accused 'vampire' trucker Timothy Jay Vafeades of forcing women to be his sex slaves and locking them up for months at a time in his semi-trailer, according to an AP report.

In May 2013, Vafeades allegedly kidnapped a 19-year-old female relative who had come from Florida to work with him on his truck.

A week into the visit, she told Vafeades she wanted to return home, but the 54-year-old kept her against her will. He used violence, threats, and strangled her until she blacked out.

A restraining order had been issued in 1999 barring Vafeades from contacting the teen. Presumably in an effort to disguise her identity, he filed down her teeth and had her wear a fake set, while he wore a set with vampire fangs.

Vafeades kept her with him for over six months, travelling to Washington, Nevada, Texas, Tennessee, and other states forcing her to have sex with him over 100 times.

Minnesota authorities nabbed the trucker on November 26 at a Clay County weigh station after they noticed bruises on the girl's face.

Following his arrest, police discovered a second woman had been held captive for three months by Vafeades. He could face life in prison if convicted.
