A photo posted on social media recently led to the arrest of two college students. The picture, which appeared on Twitter, featured a dog being held upside down while drinking from a keg.

The picture showed that the dog was forced to drink the beer. A backlash ensued right after the image was posted online.
The Brockport police were alerted and soon found Shane Oliver and Robert Yates.
"The dog had the cap in his mouth so we were very concerned about that. We started to investigate." [WHAM]
According to the department, Oliver is the man holding the dog and Yates is responsible for taking the picture and posting it to Twitter.
Both men, aged 20 have been charged with ‘torturing and injuring an animal’. Authorities at the college confirmed the two males are students there.
The incident involving the canine, named Mya occurred off campus. Yates and Oliver had allegedly been at a house party when they decided to take the photo of Mya drinking from a beer keg. Mya’s owner was not home at the time.
Mya has been placed into the custody of the local dog warden. She is said to be in good condition.
College at Brockport released a statement noting ‘We were alarmed to learn of this disturbing photo. The College is investigating this matter and will take appropriate action once the details surrounding the photo are learned.’
