Thousands are marching and mourning in Turkey.
The march comes after the death of a 15-year-old boy hurt in protests last year.
Berkin Elvan, then aged 14, was out to buy bread for his family in Istanbul when he was struck in the head by a tear gas canister and went into a coma.
Silence and frustration among these mourners.
He says "Mothers, fathers, they killed Berkin at age 15."
Turkey's President Abdullah Gul expressed his sorrow at a news conference.
(SOUNDBITE) (Turkish) TURKISH PRESIDENT ABDULLAH GUL SAYING:
"I express my condolences to the family of the deceased and share their pain. I underline that everyone must be very careful not to let any new incident occur and allow any new pain to happen."
His condolences couldn't stop violence from exploding in Ankara.
Police fired tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters.
Gas lingered in the streets as night fell over the capital.
