A somber song for a sad occasion.

A group of Chinese and Malay mourners meet for prayer in central Kuala Lumpur.

They're singing songs for Malaysia Airline flight MH370.

"News on TV and the radio keep appealing people to pray for the passengers and their families. So, I think we better get together and pray, rather than praying alone at home."

The flight mysteriously disappeared Saturday between Malaysia and Vietnam.

Air and sea searches have failed to find any confirmed trace of the plane.

In between songs, the mourners spelled out a message of hope, leaving their mark in Independence Square.

"We must have hope. If we give up hope, then who will support the families of passengers? So I think everyone should keep giving them hope."

There were 239 people on board the missing flight.
