Fishermen in Spain’s northwest Galicia region have clashed with police during a protest over quotas. Several people were injured.
Trawlermen in the port of Vigo denounced quotas for
mackerel which they say favour the Basque fleet to the detriment of Galician fishermen.
The Spanish government refuses to alter the allocated quotas.
