The red carpet is rolled out and Oscar preparations are almost completed

Torrential rains following a severe drought had organizers worried whether the rain would dampen the red carpet.

But as workers set up, an early morning sunrise suggests there may be a silver lining for Oscar Sunday.

Head producer for the Academy Awards red carpet, Joe Lewis.

"It's looking pretty good now, but it has been tough. I would be remiss if I said that we weren't exhausted, but we are. The goal here is to get the canopies down and to show the red carpet and all the hard work that has gone into this in all it's glory and I think I accomplished that."

And while the red carpet is dry for now, it's been a difficult week for workers who had to prepare the 86th Annual Academy Awards.

Just hours from now, stars will strut their stuff, as they make their arrivals to this year's Oscars, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.
