Rain has hampered work on the Oscar red carpet. Los Angeles was hit with one of its worst storms in years on Friday (February 28). Crews covered the red carpet area with a massive tent and protected the carpet itself with plastic.
Associate producer of the Oscar red carpet, Joe Lewis, said that they were prepared for the rain.
SOUNDBITE: Joe Lewis saying (English):
"It has been a challenge, a lot of water in a short amount of time. But we were prepared, we had things in place, there is no perfect science to rain plan. It is going to rain, there is going to be water, we have got to protect as best we can."
The rain is scheduled to stay through Sunday (March 02), which means it could literally put a damper on the Oscar ceremony.
