San Antonio's 'Catch me if you can' motorbike thief arrested

The 'Catch Me If You Can' biker who recorded helmet cam footage of himself speeding through rush hour traffic and foolishly posted it online was arrested by police in San Antonio, Texas, on Monday.

Authorities arrested Alberto Rodriguez Jr. after seeing the video and identifying the arrogant biker as a possible suspect in an unrelated motorcycle theft.

The motorcycle seen in the video was reported stolen in San Antonio some time ago and Rodriguez, riding the vehicle, thought it'd be a good idea to record himself speeding through traffic.

The 27-year-old posted the footage onto Facebook last week, cheekily dubbing it 'Catch me if you can'.

After stumbling across the viral video, investigators put two and two together and figured the person riding the motorcycle might well be the motorcycle thief they were looking for.

Texas police on Monday tracked down Rodriguez at the home of his friend near Salado Creek Greenway in San Antonio and caught him sneaking through a back door and attempting to hide behind an AC unit in the backyard.

Turns out authorities were indeed able to "catch him".

Rodriguez is currently facing a number of charges including traffic violation, a misdemeanor assault, and possibly charges in connection with the stolen motorcycle.
