Parton to perform at Glastonbury, Tomlinson plays soccer

Dolly Parton is headed to Glastonbury. The legendary country music star has signed on to participate in Glastonbury's annual music festival on June 29. Parton tweeted the news. She's adding the tour as part of her Blue Smoke World Tour and will play in the festival's renowned legends slot, which last year featured fellow country star Kenny Rogers.

One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson has made his soccer debut during a charity match in the U.K. The pop star played for the second-tier Doncaster Rovers. Fans flocked from as far as Mexico to see him play. Despite the hype, the game was a draw, 0-0, with Rotherhan United.

"12 Years a Slave" director Steve McQueen was at the United Nations headquarters in New York for a special screening of his Oscar-nominated film. The movie was shown as part of a slavery remembrance commemoration. McQueen's film will compete for the Oscars top prize - best picture - at the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday (March 02).
