They say history does not repeat itself. Even before the fall of Viktor Yanukovich last Saturday, the preceding days' bloodbath in the streets of Kiev had mainly mooted comparisons to the 2004 Orange Revolution. Now comes the prospect of another repeat, that of Russia's war with Georgia, what with armed Russophones taking over Crimea's parliament, calling for independence from Ukraine. How far will the escalation go? Is the Kremlin right to feel ethnic Russians are threatened?
