ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: Glowy psychedelic lines and vibrant neon colors took center-stage at Belgian designer Dries Van Noten's Autumn/Winter 2014 pret-a-porter collection in Paris on Wednesday (February 26).
Set in the French capital's sumptuous Hotel de Ville, the models shone bright under the spotlight in an otherwise somber room lit only by a line of shimmering chandeliers.
Swirling stripes in silver, metallic green and black stood out on almost every piece in the collection but every other dress was dotted with delicate hand-painted flowers.
"For me, I just really wanted to find elegance once in a different way. Bright colors, really, neon colors but to balance that you have the graphical elements and to balance the graphical elements, the coldness, the brashness of that, I wanted to do something very spontaneous like the hand-painted flowers," Van Noten told Reuters Television after the show.
