There are some things you really shouldn’t call 911 over. Take a non-violent issue over a shopping cart as an example.
40-year-old Catherine Dajnowski was recently arrested after she called emergency operators repeatedly to complain that an employee was trying to get a store shopping cart back.
She had been sitting in the cart in the West Boca Publix parking lot during all of the calls. In the first 911 call, Dajnowski told the dispatcher a man was trying to steal her cart.
Deputies arrived on scene and spoke to a Publix employee who told the cops that he asked Dajnowski numerous times to give the cart back as it was store property.
The deputies soon left after telling Dajnowski she would have to give the cart back. Once the cops were out of sight, Dajnowski called 911 a second time for the same complaint.
Deputies arrived once again and told the dial happy woman to stop calling 911 as she was misusing the system. Dajnowski is clearly a brazen lady because she called 911 a third time with a cop standing right next to her.
She was charged with misusing an emergency line. Dajnowski’s court date was scheduled for January 16th, but she was a no-show. She was found and arrested for the initial charge along with the failure to appear charge.
