The murder trial of athlete Oscar Pistorius, due to begin next week in South Africa, is to be partially televised live.
A judge in Pretoria has authorised three cameras in “non-intrusive” parts of the courtroom.
The athlete’s defence team argued that TV coverage would prejudice proceedings and his testimony will not be broadcast.
Nicknamed “Blade Runner” because of his artificial legs, Pistorius shot dead his girlfriend, the model Reeva Steenkamp, last year.
He claims he thought she was an intruder but the prosecution argues the killing was premeditated.
