Anti-government protesters broke the police cordon around the Ukrainian Rada on Tuesday morning.
Around 2,000 protesters gathered in Mariinsky Park and headed from the parliament towards the building of the Ministry of Health.
On Hrushevskogo street, rioters lit tyres to deter the police. Farther away, at the intersection of Instytustskaya and Shelkovichnya streets violence flared between the police and protesters. Protesters threw stones at the police, as the special forces used stun grenades and teargas.
Protesters gathered outside the Ukrainian parliament before the plenary meeting where a constitutional reform is expected to be discussed.
