A French couple recently passed away. The pair was found in a tight embrace at the Bordeaux home they shared. The lady was lying in bed and had her arms wrapped around her companion.
A caretaker was responsible for finding the bodies and alerting police. Although the way they died could be considered romantic and heartwarming, the couple’s living days were intriguing to say the least.
The woman was 94 years of age while the male was 39 years younger. They had lived together for over 5 years. Those who knew the couple described them as an ‘odd pair’.
The elderly woman took the man in years ago. He was homeless then and reportedly had quite a drinking problem.
At the start of their relationship, the couple would walk on the street holding hands.
One of the lady’s neighbors stated ‘She was no ordinary woman, very free, someone who led her own life…. When she took in this man... she knew what people were saying behind her back. She didn't give a damn. She defied the malicious tongues.’
The cause of the deaths has not yet been determined.
