The government must take notice of the transfer of prisoners and allay the concerns of the family members of workers immediately
MQM’s Rabita Committee has strongly condemnation the transfer of MQM’s captive workers from Sindh’s Jails to other provinces. They have termed the government’s action a part of state repression which has been going for a long time.
In a statement they said, “We have received reports that MQM’s five captive workers have been transferred to other provinces. The government action has caused concern among the family members of workers.”
“ Terrorists have been targeting law enforcement personnel, attacking mosques Imam Bargahs and shrines. They are carrying out bloodbaths of innocent people. Instead of taking action against these terrorists who are carrying out subversive activities law enforcement agencies are targeting MQM workers under the garb of operation. MQM’s workers are being arrested and subjected to inhuman torture. They are being killed extra judicially. Their actions are highly condemnable, “ Rabita Committee said.
“We had opposed the Pakistan Protection Ordinance when the government decided to promulgate the ordinance. We have termed the ordinance a violation of basic human rights and had expressed concerned that this ordinance will be used to crush MQM. Transfer of MQM’s captive workers to jails of other provinces confirms our concern. We demand that the president, prime minister and federal interior minister take notice of this transfer and allay the concerns of the family members of workers immediately, “ Rabita Committee said.
