It's the time of the year in Taiwan when companies hold their annual year-end celebrations, called weiyas (尾牙). Some companies hire sexy electric flower car performers to give titillating performances at these events, despite the cold weather. Last night, temperatures in the coastal area around Yunlin were as low as 12 degrees Celsius. Having stricken by the cold waves, several rural and coastal areas were also left in low temperature. On Yushan, the country's tallest mountain, temperatures fell to 10.7 degrees Celsius. Some of the electric flower car girls end up sick after singing and dancing in the bone-chilling weather, but they continue to perform for the money.
