At least 7 reported killed in Pakistan police bus attack

STORY: At least seven policemen were killed and dozens injured when an explosion occurred near two police vehicles in the Razzaqabad area of Pakistan's port city Karachi on Thursday (February 13), local media reported.

According to local television channels, the attack occurred near a police training centre when a police van and bus were leaving for morning duty.

A senior police official, Rao Anwaar told reporters evidence collected at the site suggested a suicide bomber had rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the police van.

There were more than 45 personnel on the bus, who were on their way to resume their duties.

Security forces cordoned off the area and sealed the blast site.

The dead and injured were moved to the local Jinnah Hospital.
