Most dog owners have come across a few pairs of chewed shoes and some shredded garments. If that’s all your pooch gets into, consider yourself lucky.
A man in Somerset, England is dealing with a chewed up $130,000 Aston Martin after his canine decided to do some damage to the luxury auto. Royston Grimstead claimed the four-year-old Border Collie/Spaniel mix named Luce waited until he left for work to begin to begin gnawing on the vehicle’s wheel arch.
He was greeted by the chewed up vehicle when he returned home. However he wasn’t as angry as you might suspect. Grimstead believed he may have played a role in Luce’s sudden penchant for mischief.
Grimstead stated “I advertised to try to rehome her because she does not get on with my other dog. She must have overheard me because she’s normally friendly and never really chewed on anything before.”
In the end, both Grimstead and Luce made out just fine. The insurance will cover the damage on the Aston Martin and the pooch got a brand new home, hopefully one with chew toys.
