STORY: Oprah Winfrey may be a titan of television, but it's her work in film that garnered the attention of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) on Wednesday (February 05). Winfrey, a resident of nearby Montecito, fittingly won the "Montecito Award," which honored her for her work as an actress in the films "The Color Purple," for which she was nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar, "Native Son," "Beloved," and "Lee Daniels' The Butler."
