Madonna introduces Pussy Riot, Berlin film festival opens

Madonna took the stage at the Amnesty International benefit concert in New York on Wednesday (February 05), introducing the crowd to two members of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot. The women - who spent two years behind bars before Vladimir Putin granted them amnesty - took the stage calling for the release of anti-government prisoners in Russia.

Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel" officially opened the 64th Berlin film festival on Thursday (February 6). Star Ralph Fiennes hit the opening red carpet, as did his co-stars Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton. The film is one of 23 movies in competition for the festival's Golden Bear trophy which will be awarded on February 15.
