Hundreds of friends and family of Philip Seymour Hoffman held a candle light vigil outside the late actor's New York theater company Wednesday night.
Hoffman, who died of a suspected drug overdose over the weekend, was a member and artistic director of the Labyrinth Theatre Company.
Marquees along Broadway dimmed their lights for a minute in remembrance.
Fans said his death was a real loss.

"There was a feeling the neighborhood lost somebody and the acting community lost somebody and the city lost somebody that really meant a lot to us
Police have arrested four people with possible connections to the narcotics found in Hoffman's home at the time of his death.
He was discovered Sunday night with a syringe in his arm and plastic bags of what appear to be heroin.
