Life on the run certainly isn’t easy with the constant fears of being apprehended. 60-year-old Judy Lynn Hayman is one woman well aware of that.

She spent 37 years living under the radar. Hayman’s ordeal began in 1976 when she pleaded guilty to a larceny charge in Michigan.

She was ordered to serve between 16 months and two years behind bars for the crime. Ten months into her sentence, Hayman managed to escape from the Women's Huron Valley Correctional Facility.

Over the course of nearly four decades Hayman used several aliases including Jamie Lewis, Brenda Bushmer and Judy Kayman in an effort to evade law enforcement.

When cops recently showed up at her home in San Diego, she used the Jamie Lewis name and provided documents verifying her bogus identity.

Her 32-year-old son had been visiting during the time of the arrest and was said to be shocked at the allegations pertaining his mom.
