AFC Championship game 2014: Brady vs Manning! It has been eight long years since Broncos quarterback and four-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning squared off against an all-American allstar QB Tom Brady in an AFC championship game. Much is on the line; the winner of Sunday's game will advance to the Super Bowl to battle the victor of the day's other big game — the 49ers vs Seahawks.
The matchup promises one hell of a spectacle, and the near-record high prices tickets are fetching on the secondary market (the average price is now just shy of $800) show fans are eager for a knockout show.
The Denver Broncos are strong favourites going in to the January 19 game, but with their cornerback Chris Harris out nursing a torn anterior cruciate ligament and the Patriots 4-0 over Denver this series, could the Broncos be staring down the barrel of a dramatic upset?
Either way, pundits and betting odds alike point to this being a close fight.
