Our early years are often the most defining, and it was with this mind that we started ORIGINS, a new film series that discovers how artists' roots have shaped their lives.
Dan Pearce was one month away from giving up his dream when he got the break that changed his life. Catz N Dogz signed his track "Entrance Song" to Pets Recordings, which gave him the springboard he'd been chasing for as long as he could remember. We know what happened next—DJ gigs across the globe, music released on respected record labels, among RA's top 20 DJs of the year—but for the next film in our ORIGINS series we show you what happened before. Pearce brings us to rural southwest England to visit the house he grew up in, the site of his first DJ gigs, and the place that he worked during "the worst three years" of his life.
