According to vacation rental site FlipKey, available June, July, and August rentals are well on their way being fully claimed.
So far, their three most popular destinations are Rio de Janeiro, Ocean City, Maryland and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Fear not, there are still some pretty sweet accommodations left in all of them.
Take the beautifully appointed, bright 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment in Rio, for example. It has a spectacular view of lush greenery and a balcony with a hammock. There’s also washing machine just in case you spill your caipirinha on your swimsuit while hanging out at the pool.
The rental, which sleeps 5, starts at around 250 dollars a night.
Even if you’re not sure where you want to go this year, it can’t hurt to start browsing. Who knows, the search may even take a bite out of the polar vortex situation.
