ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: A rescue operation from land, air and sea continued on Tuesday evening to stop a fire in northern Norway.
The blaze, which started late on Monday evening, swept across the Flatanger area, affecting the small villages of Hasvag, Smavaeret, Harstad and Uran.
It was first feared that around 140 buildings had burned down but at a news conference in the afternoon police put the figure at around 90. It is not clear how many of those were residential or holiday homes.
According to media reports, Hasvag had been destroyed.
Bad weather in the morning and the remoteness of the area hampered early rescue efforts but by mid-morning helicopters, boats and fire personnel took part in efforts to contain the flames.
There are 32 residents in the area and all have been evacuated. There have been no reports of injuries or deaths.
