SHOWS: Teen girls flocked to a beach in Panama on Monday hoping to catch a glimpse of troubled pop star Justin Bieber as he relaxed in the Central American country just days after his tumultuous life off-stage landed him in jail in Florida.
Flanked by security, fans and media were kept at bay as Bieber and his entourage lapped up the sun and sand at Punta Chame.
Bieber was arrested on Thursday for drunk driving after he was caught drag racing on a main Miami Beach street in a rented Lamborghini.
The 19-year-old Canadian initially resisted arrest, cursed at police officers and later told them he had consumed alcohol, pot and prescription drugs, police said. Then, changing his demeanour, he grew cooperative and even smiled for his mug shot, coiffed hair perfectly in place.
But the recent controversy did not sway loyal fans in Panama who were thrilled to catch a glimpse of their idol as he dashed past on an All Terrain Vehic
