Tim Curry is a great actor. Rocky Horror Picture Show? Clue? Why would you ever be scared of Tim Curry? So why would you be afraid of... a demon clown that eats children!? Pennywise is all sorts of nasty, and he's the reason why a whole generation of people hate clowns... Well, that and clowns are pretty freaky to begin with. Let's face it, this inter-dimensional creep-show is very unsettling right from the start, but he kicks it up a notch when those fangs come out. Whether he's eating kids, or folding them in half (yeah, he folds a kid in half), he's just bad news. When it comes to scary, there's scary, and then there's Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
