Cannabis tourism takes off in Colorado

If you have got it, flaunt it they say.

Well Colorado has got cannabis, legalised recreational cannabis.

And with business booming since sales were allowed on January 1, many have been quick to cash in.

Hence guided tours of Denver’s ‘discreet dispensaries’ in which visitors can do the rounds in the luxury of a stretch Humvee.

“I think it is a great idea, showing people around, showing people the different programmes, showing them the different types of weed, showing them the different areas,” said cannabis tourist Debbie Grossett.

A marijuana mini-break may not be everyone’s idea of a vacation but for adults eager to relax with a joint rather than lying on a beach towel, this US state is holiday heaven. So is it a money-spinner?
