A study focusing on the impact of sleep deprivation among adolescents has found teenagers perform better overall with later school start times. Julie Boergers, Ph.D. – a psychologist and sleep expert from the Bradley Hasbro Children’s Research Center, who led the study – says postponing school start times improves sleep habits and mood in teenagers.
