A French magazine alleges that President Francois Hollande is having an affair with film actress Julie Gayet.
Hollande threatened to sue the magazine for breach of privacy. He did not deny the report.
The weekly tabloid Closer published photos that purportedly shows a man wearing a helmet -- said to be Hollande -- arriving on a scooter outside an apartment in Paris.
Parisians brushed off the story. French politicians have been known to have affairs in the past, bearing little impact on public opinion.
