Northern Virginia law enforcement authorities are investigating a string of robberies in which thieves hit hair supply stores. The suspect has targeted four stores in the local area and made off with thousands of dollars in hair care items.
Police responded to the first burglary that occurred in Woodbridge. The suspect broke the front glass door of Sally’s Beauty Supply and entered the business.
The store’s alarm was triggered but by the time cops arrived, the suspect had fled the scene. Surveillance footage was reviewed. It showed a man inside the store - he reportedly didn’t take anything.
Several hours later on the very same day, another Sally’s Beauty Supply was hit, this time in Manassas. The alarm on that business went off and once officers arrived, they noticed the glass door had been smashed, just like the first break-in.
The big difference was that $4,200 in products had been swiped. At a little after midnight the next day, a Woodbridge Cosmopolitan Professional was targeted. In that instance, over 2 grand worth of goods were taken.
Roughly 9 hours later, the suspect smashed the glass doors of A-Plus Wigs and Hair Beauty Supply, stealing an astounding $8,000 worth of merchandise.
