With just about six months to go before the football World Cup kicks off in Brazil, tension over the country's preparations seems to be growing. In the city of Cuiaba, construction workers are still building the new stadium, which has already missed the December 31, 2013 delivery deadline, and with little sign that it is anywhere near completion. Six of the other 12 host cities are in the same position, with unfinished stadiums now likely to be ready by March at the earliest. Joseph Blatter, president of the football body, told a Swiss newspaper that Brazil's preparations are the most delayed of any World Cup in the past 40 years.
