A piece of music I wrote in 1994 at the request of my teacher (in my notebook it is subtitled 'Gymnopédie to order'). He liked it, and said, offhandedly, that it might even be a famous piece of music some day (the only time he said that about a piece I had written). It hasn't happened yet, but if everyone shares this video it could. ;-)
I've recently had the hammers of my piano replaced; it was expensive, but the sound is now much more rich, and since I hope to have my concert grand with me a good while yet, I think it was a good 'quality of life' investment. ;-)
This piece was originally written in e-minor, but this version has been transposed to F-sharp minor; I like the richer sonority of the deep notes.
