Kostas Koukoutaras & The Asteiasions."Apo Pou Kai Pou" 1974 Greek Psych Folk Rock reissue Anazitisis Records 2006 limited edition in 100 copies.
When talking about the particular disc you talking about one of the rarest releases on vinyl in Greece.Certainly kostas Koukoutaras was one of the flagship and leading figures in the Rock scene of Larissa in the late 70's. Records in 1974 along with his band Atziteisons this album which is printed in very few copies. Musically the album is a mix of 60's & 70's psych / folk rock. Unlike the current musical era their Atziteisons move more to the British freakbeat / psych scene with an approach but more "barbaric", which is due to poor production of the album. In some parts of the disk are also seen strong influences from the French scene of the early '70s.
Generally if we want to talk about the musical value of this disc could be said to be indicative of the climate that prevailed in the Greek rock scene (with the exception of the pop band) and if we think that this band flourished during the Tribulation perceive how difficult it was to develop a particular culture. Lyrically the album is influenced by the movement of chipys (called flower power movement). The baritone vocals Koukoutara give the disc a special magic and create a mysterious atmosphere. The only "fault" on the disc is a little ridiculous what its cover which refers to artists of other genres
