STORY: Thousands of Kurds marched to the Turkish-Syrian border in the southeast province of Cizre on Sunday to show solidarity with Syrian Kurds as security forces used water cannon and smoke grenades to quell the crowd.

Police and military forces fired smoke grenades as water cannon was sprayed on protesters hurling stones.
