24-year-old Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, and a fellow band member, are serving a two-year sentence for a performance in Moscow's main cathedral that targeted President Vladimir Putin and his ties to the Orthodox church.
Tolokonnikova's been given amnesty but her release papers were still not processed on Sunday.
Now, her husband thinks she could be freed in a matter of days.
(SOUNDBITE) HUSBAND OF JAILED PUSSY RIOT MEMBER NADEZHDA TOLOKONNIKOVA, PETER VERZILOV, SAYING:
"I talked to Nadya over the phone today, she says she feels good and everything is fine there. And they also tell her she will be released relatively soon."
Residents of this Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk tell Reuters they prefer the Pussy Riot band member remained in jail.
